About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and technology-savvy Relief Security Officer to ensure the security and safety of our Data Centre client's premises and people in the Hemel Hempstead area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage access control for buildings and car-parks, including employee, visitor, and contractor access.
  • Patrol buildings, car parks, and grounds to deter and detect potential issues.
  • Check and challenge ID passes with a professional and friendly approach.
  • De-activate and activate alarms, and unlock and lock buildings, rooms, external barriers, and gates to ensure site security.
  • Monitor fire, security, and building systems, including CCTV.
  • Identify and report Health & Safety issues and provide first aid if necessary.
  • Respond to customer requests and queries.
  • Maintain records, including incident reports, using computer- and paper-based systems.
Requirements
  • Hold an SIA Door Supervision (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) license.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in security.
  • Five years' checkable history and references.
  • Pass a criminal records check (CRC) to the required standards.
Desirable Qualifications
  • SIA Public Space Surveillance (PSS) (CCTV) license.
  • First Aid qualification.
  • Experience in a similar role.

Full training, uniform, and health and safety equipment (PPE) are provided.
