Job Overview

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our General Surgery team as a General Surgery Booking Clerk. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a busy department and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Main Duties of the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for booking outpatient appointments, managing waiting lists, and providing administrative support to the clinical team. They will also be required to have excellent customer care skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Person Specification

  • Good standard of general education to GCSE Standard, English & Maths Grade C
  • NVQ 2 or equivalent experience
  • Administrative experience
  • Competent using Word Office
  • Awareness of National Patient Access targets
  • Knowledge of Patient Centre or similar systems

Skills

  • Computer literate and good keyboard skills
  • Customer care experience
  • Good level of written & spoken English
