About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Psychologist Assistant to join our team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our mental health services, you will work closely with our Clinical Psychologists to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to adults struggling with their mental health.

As an Assistant Psychologist, you will be responsible for working with individuals with mild to moderate mental health problems, providing planned psychological interventions and supporting them in achieving their goals. You will also have the opportunity to work in community settings, linking with and supporting other mental health services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work with individuals with mild to moderate mental health problems, providing planned psychological interventions
  • Support individuals in achieving their goals and improving their mental health
  • Work in community settings, linking with and supporting other mental health services
Requirements
  • First degree in psychology (first or upper second)
  • Eligibility for Graduate Membership of The BPS
  • Demonstrable experience of working directly with a vulnerable client group
