About the Role

Singular Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead RF Design Engineer to join our client's team in Cambridge. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the design and development of RF circuits, antenna systems, and communication systems.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned RF Design Engineer to take on a leadership role and drive technical direction within a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical contact during scoping, definition, design, and production phase of new product development.
  • Create clear product and system design requirements and specifications.
  • Develop RF design architectures, concepts, and strategies for project work packages.
  • Mentor and support RF design engineers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product requirements are met.
  • Drive completion of all projects to be delivered on time and within budget.
  • Ensure development processes are adhered to.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in RF circuit design, ideally with knowledge around communication systems such as LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or GPS.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a lead or principal level role.
  • Ability to drive technical direction within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Able to consolidate complex requirements into clear and deliverable commitments.
  • Strong capability specifying technical requirements that result in 'right first time' designs.
  • Strong understanding of product development lifecycle principles.
  • Proven track record of taking a lead role in delivering products into volume production.
