We are a leading financial services client based in London, seeking a skilled Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer - NLP to join our cross-functional engineering team.

We offer a dynamic work environment with great talent and culture. Our compensation package includes an estimated salary range of £100,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

This role offers the opportunity to build impactful areas related to ML, initially focusing on document intelligence and later expanding to explore uses for LLMs/chatbots, summarization, and others.

You will be responsible for developing state-of-the-art NLP models to extract crucial information from structured and unstructured text, and classifying documents with precision.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement end-to-end solutions, from data annotation to model deployment, ensuring systems are efficient, scalable, and accurate.
  • Collaborate with talented Strats, Engineers, Traders, and Operations experts to drive innovation and solve real-world challenges.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI/ML to streamline processes, improve decision-making, and unlock new growth avenues.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in NLP, machine learning, and Python.
  • Proficiency in deep learning/machine learning concepts & frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, transformers, and others.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS services, especially SageMaker.
  • A drive to explore new techniques and push boundaries.
  • The ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and evangelize for data science/machine learning.
