Loan Completions Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Loan Completions Manager to join our team at Pope Marshall. As a key member of our commercial lending team, you will be responsible for managing the loan completion process from application to decision through to completion, servicing, and post-completion activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage loan documentation, due diligence, and payment processes to ensure loans are drawn down quickly and accurately.
- Oversee the day-to-day loan due diligence process, including loan offer documentation preparation and the instruction of property valuations, independent monitoring surveyor (QS) reports, and other specialist property due diligence reports.
- Instruct, appoint, and liaise with legal panel firms to ensure accurate and timely perfection of loan and security documentation.
- Own loan drawdown and payments processes and procedures to ensure facility drawdowns and incoming payments are processed quickly and accurately.
- Promote a risk-aware and continuous improvement culture, ensuring efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards, processes, and policies.
- Build positive relationships with the team and provide proactive support to first-line relationship management, financial crime, and credit underwriting teams to ensure the loan completion process operates efficiently.
- Coach and develop a team to achieve high levels of performance.
- Experience of the end-to-end commercial lending application lifecycle, from application to decision through to completion, servicing, and post-completion activities.
- Knowledge and practical application of SME legal and valuation due diligence processes along with wider commercial risk issues.
- Strong analytical skills to extract meaningful data, convey it with clarity, and ensure action is identified and taken.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
