About the Role

Howden Group Holdings is seeking a skilled Commercial Account Handler to join our Howden Consumer & Local Commercial team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with existing clients, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to self-generate new business and maximize opportunities within our insurer panel.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, correspondence, and documentation on Acturis.
  • Produce high-quality documentation, adhering to Howden standards and ensuring timely processing of adjustments.
  • Actively cross-sell products from other divisions, enhancing client value and deepening business relationships.
  • Establish and manage tailored renewal strategies for each client, aligning with divisional procedures and goals.
  • Ensure clients are correctly and adequately insured, providing expert advice to address all insurance exposures.
  • Support the division in achieving targets through proactive client engagement.
  • Maintain professional competence by adhering to Howden Training and Competence procedures.

Requirements

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills. You should have a proven track record of self-generating business and identifying new opportunities, as well as experience in maintaining accurate records and processing adjustments. A strong understanding of the insurance industry and its products is also essential.
