About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Acute Medicine to join our team at North Manchester General Hospital. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing senior medical support to our 53 Medical Assessment Units, split across 2 wards and our Ambulatory Care Unit.

Main Duties

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in Acute Medicine and a broad knowledge of general medicine. You will be expected to work well within a team, providing clinical leadership and expertise in a specialist area of Acute Medicine. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to take on roles in medical leadership, governance, and education, facilitating your further development.

Person Specification
  • Primary medical qualification (e.g., MBChB)
  • Full registration with the GMC with a Licence to practice
  • On the Specialist Register, holding CCT or expect to do within 6 months of interview
  • The appointee will hold the MRCP or show evidence of equivalent training and experience
