Job Overview



We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Quality Improvement initiatives across Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust. As Associate Director of Quality Improvement, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing our quality plans, working closely with senior leaders and teams to drive continuous improvement and enhance patient care.



Key Responsibilities




  • Lead the development and implementation of quality improvement plans, aligned with the Trust’s strategic objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality gaps, improving patient outcomes and experiences
  • Provide expert guidance and support to teams, promoting a culture of quality and excellence
  • Work closely with NHS England and system partners to drive quality improvement initiatives across Integrated Care Boards (ICBs)
  • Support the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices
  • Contribute to the development of the Trust’s quality strategy, ensuring it remains aligned with the organization’s vision and goals


Requirements




  • PhD or master’s degree in a relevant field, with significant industry experience
  • Proven track record of leading quality improvement initiatives in a healthcare or similar environment
  • Expert knowledge of quality improvement methodologies, such as Virginia Mason, IHI, and NHSE
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix environment, with a focus on delivering results and achieving quality outcomes
