Job Title: Home Library Service Volunteer

We are seeking a volunteer to join our team and help deliver books to customers who are unable to visit their local library due to poor health, disability, or mobility issues.

This role requires a DBS enhanced check, which will be done free of charge. As a Home Library Service volunteer, you will have the opportunity to share your love of reading, meet new people, and make a real difference in your community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collecting pre-packed books from the library and delivering them to home library service customers.
  • Chatting with vulnerable individuals and helping to combat loneliness.
  • Logging volunteering hours monthly and submitting expenses (where applicable) online.
  • Completing minimum level training, such as safeguarding, and committing to further training relevant to the role.
