Job Description:

We are seeking a Community Book Delivery Assistant to join our team at the Lancashire Volunteer Partnership. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering books to customers who are unable to visit their local library due to health, disability, or mobility issues.

This role requires a DBS enhanced check which will be conducted free of charge.

The Home Library Service is provided to customers who require support and companionship in their daily lives. As a Community Book Delivery Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others by providing a friendly face and engaging conversation.

In this role, you will be expected to collect pre-packed books from the library and deliver them to customers' homes in a socially distanced and Covid-safe manner.
