The Role:
As an External Audit Senior or External Audit Manager at Pro Talent, you will lead audit assignments, manage client relationships, and oversee junior staff. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that audits are delivered to the highest standards while supporting the development of the team and contributing to the growth of our audit function.
- Leading and Managing External Audit Assignments: You will lead audit assignments from planning to completion for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring that audits are delivered to the highest standards.
- Building and Maintaining Client Relationships: You will build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the main point of contact throughout the audit process.
- Performing Risk Assessments: You will perform risk assessments, identify key audit risks, and ensure audit plans address these risks effectively.
- Preparing Audit Reports: You will prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management and clients.
- Ensuring Compliance: You will ensure compliance with accounting standards and audit regulations.
- Managing Multiple Projects: You will manage multiple projects and ensure deadlines are met.
- Business Development: You will assist with business development activities and contribute to the growth of our audit function.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in external audit, ideally within a practice environment.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of UK auditing standards and IFRS/UK GAAP.
- Management Experience: Experience in managing audit teams and leading audit engagements.
- Time Management: Proven ability to manage multiple audits and meet deadlines.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in audit software and accounting packages such as Xero, Sage, or similar.
