Job Description

Role Summary:

Harris Hill Charity Recruitment Specialists is seeking a highly motivated and experienced University Access Officer to join our team. As a University Access Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds to access top universities through a unique combination of tuition and in-school mentoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentorship and Coaching: Deliver group workshops, mentoring, and coaching to GCSE students on how to access and transition to university.
  • Programme Management: Engage with students in school, enroll them onto the programme, and monitor student attendance to tutorials.
  • Relationship Building: Build and manage relationships with volunteer tutors to ensure they have a positive experience of the programme.
  • Project Delivery: Chair and present at termly school meetings with Senior Management to report on programme progress.
  • Training and Development: Support the delivery of tutor training and attend university site visits, approximately 3 times a year.

Requirements:

  • Communication and Influence: Ability to communicate and influence with impact at all levels, delivering projects and managing administration accurately.
  • Relationship Management: Skilled in building and maintaining excellent relationships, be resilient and adaptable, and have the ability to lead and manage change.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary: £26,400
  • Flexible Working Arrangements: 3 days based at a School in Greenwich, 2 days working from home.
