Main Responsibilities

As a Senior Coach at Supercare, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children and young people. Your role will involve providing day-to-day care and support to young people, working in partnership with them, their families, social workers, and other organizations to ensure their needs are met.

Key Duties:
  • Direct work with young people, key working, and providing day-to-day care and support on a shift work basis.
  • Working in partnership with young people, their social worker, and other relevant agencies to ensure their needs are met.
  • Coordinating, monitoring, and reviewing Care Plans for allocated young people to support their transition to adulthood and greater independence.
  • Taking responsibility for the upkeep of the establishment, ensuring health and safety, and making autonomous decisions about individual young people's requests and behavior.
  • Ensuring young people take responsibility for their own lives, keeping them informed of their circumstances and rights, involving them in planning their lives, and supporting them towards greater control and responsibility.
  • Responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns and reporting them effectively.
  • Attending to the day-to-day needs of young people, including bathing, feeding, and cooking.
  • Caring for the fabric, equipment, and overall environment of the establishment.
Personal Qualities

We are looking for a role model and guide for young people, who can set principles and examples. You will also have the opportunity to make use of regular professional supervision and work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, on a rota basis as required.

Requirements:
  • Experience of working with children/young people in an Ofsted environment.
  • Level 3 CYPW or above.
  • Enhanced DBS Check and on the update service.
  • Smart and agile to handle the daily needs and activities of young people.
