Branded Supply Chain Planner

We are seeking a skilled Branded Medical Supply Chain Planner to join our team at Michael Page (UK). As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the movement of goods from suppliers to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Production Planning: Develop and communicate accurate production plans to maximize sales and service while minimizing costs. This includes materials, labor, and line planning and scheduling, requiring liaison with production, hygiene, and engineering teams, as well as external parties such as customers, hauliers, and suppliers.
- Order Management: Download orders from customers and update production plans as necessary, communicating with 3rd parties to ensure seamless execution.
- Progress Monitoring: Track progress against production plans to ensure we are on track to meet our goals.
- Transportation Management: Coordinate transportation requirements with hauliers, ensuring the right number of lorries are in place at the right time. Manage communication with all parties when issues arise, including establishing cost-effective vehicle scheduling and addressing vehicle problems and factory issues that may impact delivery.
- Basket Management: Ensure adequate basket stock levels to support effective operations, liaising with 3rd parties to address changes in requirements and optimize collection methods.
- Process Improvement: Assist in implementing new systems and processes to enhance the smooth running of the operation, building a robust planning process for future business growth.
- Contingency Planning: Develop robust processes to ensure effective operations during weekends and holidays, ensuring all team members know their roles in exceptional circumstances.
- Competitive salary based on experience
- Shift Pattern: 4 on 3 off (Wed-Sat)
- Working Hours: 7am-5pm
- Leicester site
- Pension: 5%
- Holidays: 26.5 days, including public holidays
