Branded Supply Chain Planner

Michael Page is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Planner to join our client's FMCG Food business in Leicester.
Key Responsibilities:- Production Planning: Develop and communicate accurate production plans to maximize sales and service while minimizing costs. This includes materials, labor, and line planning and scheduling, requiring liaison with production, hygiene, and engineering teams, as well as external parties such as customers, hauliers, and suppliers.
- Order Management: Download orders from customers and update production plans as necessary, communicating with 3rd parties to ensure seamless execution.
- Progress Monitoring: Track progress against production plans to ensure alignment with expectations.
- Transportation Management: Coordinate transportation requirements with hauliers, ensuring the right number of lorries are in place at the right time. Manage communication with all parties when issues arise, including cost-effective vehicle scheduling and issue resolution.
- Basket Management: Ensure adequate basket stock levels to maintain effective operations, liaising with 3rd parties to address changes in requirements.
- Collection Optimization: Monitor average collection costs per basket and collaborate with 3rd parties to optimize vehicle/fill, collection points, and other factors.
- Process Improvement: Assist in implementing new systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency and build a robust planning process for future growth.
- Contingency Planning: Develop robust processes to ensure effective operations during weekends, holidays, and exceptional circumstances.
- Flexible salary based on experience
- 4 on 3 off shift pattern (Wed-Sat)
- Working hours: 7am-5pm
- Leicester site
- Pension: 5%
- Holidays: 26.5 days including public holidays
