About this role
As the Head of Labour Link and Parliamentary Affairs, you will play a critical role in shaping and progressing UNISON policies within the Labour Party. This position oversees and manages our parliamentary work, establishing, maintaining, and developing political contacts and relationships at all levels of national, regional, and local government, as well as within the devolved nations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and liaise with the UNISON Group of MPs
- Oversee and coordinate the work of our regional political contacts
- Provide expert and specialist advice to our Labour Link Committee
- Ensure the highest standards of lay governance
Requirements
- Knowledge of the Labour Party and a commitment to its principles
- Knowledge of UNISON and its link with the Party
- Excellent representational, communication, and people skills
- Ability to campaign for increased participation in the Labour Link and awareness of recruitment and organising strategies
- Strategic, financial, and people management skills
