Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Maternity Services Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the ward or department, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. They will manage staff, rotas, and undertake recruitment and selection, promoting a positive patient experience and leading on local quality initiatives.

The post holder will have overall responsibility and accountability for the management of the ward or department, providing a dynamic leadership role within the team. They will be able to make effective decisions autonomously and in partnership with patients, families, and the multi-disciplinary team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, acting as a role model for the midwifery team and ensuring the delivery of high-standard evidence-based care to patients.

The successful candidate will have excellent time management skills and professional knowledge acquired through a degree supplemented by specialist clinical and managerial training. They will be able to manage and coordinate a ward/department team, working autonomously without supervision, and provide professional clinical leadership and responsibility for ensuring an environment of empowerment through coaching, teaching, and facilitation.
