About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maternal Medicine Consultant to join our team at Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to women with complex pregnancies and contribute to the development of our maternal medicine services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the Consultant of the Week ward round rota, reviewing antenatal women and selected high-risk postnatal women admitted to the maternity base.
  • Provide flexible escalation support to the Maternity Assessment Unit, depending on the safety needs of the service.
  • Take part in incident reviews, attend the Term Admissions meeting, and review pregnant women admitted to LUHFT for non-obstetric reasons.
  • Participate in the Antenatal Weekend Consultant rota, providing separate cover on Saturdays and Sundays between 9am and 12pm.

Requirements

  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months.
  • MRCP or equivalent.
  • ATSM in Maternal Medicine or equivalent experience.
  • ATSM in Advanced Labour Ward Practice or equivalent experience.
