In this critical role, you will oversee the welfare of foster carers and their charges, focusing on delivering high-quality care that meets the needs of vulnerable children. Gloucestershire County Council's Fostering Support Team requires a skilled social worker to ensure seamless operations.

You will supervise foster carers, facilitate annual reviews, manage caseloads, and identify suitable placements for children. Regular reflective supervision and opportunities for professional development are integral to this position.

To succeed, you must have:

  • A minimum of 6 months' experience as a registered social worker in the UK
  • A relevant Social Work Qualification
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Enhanced DBS registration or willingness to apply
  • Three years' worth of referencing
  • A valid driving license with access to a car

This role offers a competitive salary of up to £35,000 (PAYE or Umbrella options available) and comes with benefits such as:
