Indigo Search Ltd is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our complex and fast-paced Warehouse and Logistics operation in the Brighouse area.
Key Responsibilities:- Reporting to the Head of Logistics, you will be responsible for managing a team of Warehouse Managers, Warehouse Shift Managers, Warehouse Operatives, and Transport Operatives and Drivers.
- You will be accountable for the overall performance of the warehouse, including Good In, Pick/Pack, Despatch, Stock/Inventory, and Health & Safety.
- Utilising KPIs and processes, you will drive performance and manage the relationship with a specific client in a proactive and collaborative manner.
- Regular and consistent communication with the client is essential, as is your ability to understand their needs and respond proactively and positively.
- You will be responsible for managing the P&L of approximately £1m costs, SLAs, and other key performance indicators.
- Recruitment, onboarding, and people retention within a Logistics setting are also key aspects of this role.
- You will utilise data to inform decisions and provide regular reports to Senior Management.
- This is a broad and autonomous role where you will be responsible for running an entire Logistics operation within the framework of a larger Logistics operation.
- Warehouse Manager, Operations Manager, or General Manager experience within a fast-paced distribution environment is essential.
- 3PL experience is beneficial, as is overall management responsibility for at least 50 heads or more.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to account manage clients in a proactive and constructive way are also required.
- A front-foot and hands-on leadership style is necessary, as is the ability to engage and motivate your people.
- Liaising from shop-floor to Board level is also essential.
- You will be someone who wants to play an integral part in building and growing a strong operation and has the ambition to develop their career with a progressive business.
- Medium-level IT proficiency, including proficiency in MS Excel, is also required.
- Able and willing to commute to central Brighouse on a daily basis, with free parking provided.
