At the Royal Academy of Dance, we are seeking a visionary Artistic Director to lead our esteemed BA Acting course. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in actor training and academic leadership.

The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the artistic vision of the course, teaching acting, and providing strategic leadership and management of BA actor training. They will work closely with the Director of Training, Director of Technical Theatre, and Director of Equity to ensure an integrated and equitable training experience for all students.

We are looking for a dynamic and imaginative leader who can deliver world-leading and industry-relevant training, fostering a collaborative environment between staff and students across acting and technical courses. The ideal candidate will have a wide-ranging and profound experience of actor training, theoretical and academic expertise, and a proven track record of delivering teaching and training in Acting (UG and/or PG level).

With an estimated salary of £60,000 per annum, this role offers a competitive package, including relocation assistance for candidates willing to live within commutable distance of the Academy. The Course Leader will be responsible for creating an inclusive and rigorous training environment, building a diverse workforce, and leading a cohesive and empowered faculty. They will also contribute to the development of a new vision and strategy for the Royal Academy of Dance, focusing on key themes of training and student experience, growth, industry, and international dialogue and engagement.
