Fortius Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Theatre Practitioner to join our newly formed theatre team at our state-of-the-art facility in London's West End.
About the RoleWe are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual to lead our theatre team, working closely with anaesthetic and recovery colleagues to ensure smooth, timely, and efficient processes and procedures within a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of scrub practitioners, taking overall responsibility for the delivery of the service.
- Assemble, check, and prepare surgical instruments and consumables for a wide range of operative procedures.
- Conduct mandatory surgical checks prior to the start of the procedure, during, and pre-wound closure.
- Monitor patient condition throughout the procedure, taking appropriate action to manage any arising complications.
- Drive improvement in practice and policy when changes have arisen resulting from an audit, complaint, or newly issued guidance.
- Registered Practitioner with NMC or HPC registration.
- Surgical First Assistant course.
- Ability to concentrate for long periods of time, reacting quickly in an emergency when required.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Knowledge of orthopaedic day surgery.
