Job Title: Deputy Patient Experience Manager

The Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Patient Experience Manager to join our team. As a key member of the Patient Safety and Experience Division, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality care and experience.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day management and leadership to the Patient Experience Team, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality services.
  • Plan, implement, and manage the Complaints process, ensuring that it is responsive, effective, and compliant with the NHS Complaints Regulations 2009 and the Ombudsman's Principles of Good Complaints Handling.
  • Support the Patient Experience Manager in the development and implementation of patient experience improvement projects across the Trust, ensuring that they are aligned with the Trust's strategic objectives.
  • Deliver complaint response and investigation training to clinical and managerial staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality responses to patients.
  • Facilitate and coordinate activity related to patient feedback and surveys, ensuring that the Trust has a comprehensive understanding of patient experiences and can use this information to drive improvement.
Person Specification:
  • Educated to degree level or have equivalent experience relevant to the field of customer services and public sector complaints.
  • Experience of implementing and delivering a complaints process, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience of coordinating patient surveys, with a strong understanding of the National Friends and Family survey processes and the National Patient Surveys.
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality professional written work.
  • Ability to effectively organise own workload and that of others, with minimum supervision, achieving goals within deadlines.
