Deputy Service Manager Job Description

Are you passionate about reducing health inequalities and improving the lives of people in Bolton?

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Deputy Service Manager to join our Health Improvement Practitioner Service team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery and provision of our NHS Health Improvement Practitioner Service across Bolton.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Service Manager in providing leadership and management for the delivery and provision of the NHS Health Improvement Practitioner Service across Bolton.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with primary care and Integrated Care Services Division colleagues.
  • Act as the main administrator for the Data Collection and Reporting System (DCRS).
  • Work collaboratively with Team Leaders to ensure robust reporting systems, including data input.
  • Plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate robust evaluation systems for the service as defined by the Service Manager.
  • Support other team members with research, audits, and evaluations as required.
  • Support the Public Health Programme Manager for Health Improvement and Primary Care Development with the development of new wellbeing initiatives for primary care.
Requirements:
  • Has worked within primary care or has experience of primary care practice.
  • Has experience of health care work with patients in health improvement.
  • City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 Health Trainer Qualification.
  • Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
