Supporting Young Women in Independence

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Female Shift Support Worker to join our team at Oasis Community Housing in Gateshead. As a key member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in supporting young women and young mothers in achieving their goals.
This is a female-only role due to the need to work sleep-in shifts within female-only projects. We welcome applications from individuals who share our Christian values and are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others.
Oasis Community Housing offers a range of services, including housing and support programs, designed to empower vulnerable populations in Gateshead. Our mission is to create a community where everyone feels included, valued, and equipped to succeed.
The successful candidate will have experience working in supported housing, providing a positive outlook and understanding of the challenges faced by young women, particularly those linked to homelessness.
We offer a competitive salary of £23,588 per annum, plus an anti-social allowance of £650 per annum. This role involves working 37 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-in shifts.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support young women and young mothers in developing life skills.
- Provide a positive and non-judgmental approach to support.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure a seamless service delivery.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practices in supported housing.
