Systems Engineering Manager
Location: Warton (Lancashire) – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements.
Salary: £47,683 to £52,426 (Commensurate with skills and experience)
Job Summary:As a Systems Engineering Manager at BAE Systems, you will play a key role in interfacing with customers, understanding their requirements, and keeping them involved during product development. You will be responsible for managing a team and senior stakeholders, as well as working closely with other Engineering Leads through the integration lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development of engineering products and solutions that meet expected standards and customer needs.
- Manage a team of engineers and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Interface with customers to understand their requirements and keep them involved in the product development process.
- Work closely with other Engineering Leads to propose, develop, and deliver engineering products and solutions.
- Ensure that all engineering products and solutions meet the required standards and customer needs.
- Degree educated in a STEM discipline or HND/HNC with sound experience of the Engineering Lifecycle.
- Evidence-based experience in an engineering integration environment (Applicants encouraged from Aerospace, Automotive, Rail, and Nuclear Industries).
- Experience of Model-Based Engineering approaches and the supporting methods and toolsets (Teamcenter PLM, DOORs, CAMEO, MATLAB, ANSYS).
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint).
- Good communication skills across all levels of an organisation.
- Self-starter and pro-active but with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Accreditation to the International Council of Systems Engineering (INCOSE), or equivalent body/institute, is desirable but not essential.
