Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dentist to join our team at Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise CIC. As a Dental Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality NHS dental services in a multidisciplinary and innovative clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinically appropriate and high-quality NHS dental treatment to patients, adhering to all relevant standards and guidelines.
- Maintain high standards of clinical governance, including infection control, patient confidentiality, and clinical record keeping.
- Regularly conduct audits of clinical treatment to ensure excellence in patient care.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are observed at all times, promoting a safe working environment for patients and staff.
- Support the work of the entire dental team employed by Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise CIC.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree.
- GDC registration.
- Performers number.
- DFT supervisor (desirable).
- Broad dental knowledge, with up-to-date knowledge of aspects of general practice within your scope of practice.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrable clinical experience in an NHS practice.
- Active in clinical dental practice.
- Broad experience in a wide range of treatments.
- Education experience (desirable).
Skills and Abilities:
- First-class clinical skills.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to provide concise explanations and clear direction and guidance.
- IT skills, including use of clinical software systems, such as R4 (or similar electronic patient record system) and Microsoft Office packages.
- Willingness to work to academic standards and be involved in quality assurance.
Working Conditions:
Normal working hours are 08:45 to 17:00, Monday to Friday. However, on occasions, you may be required to work revised hours to meet business needs. The Working Time Regulations apply to all employees of Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise CIC.
