Senior Estimator (Civil Engineering)

Location: Manchester

Role: We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team at Anderselite LTD. As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for pricing works involving civil engineering, earthworks, concrete, drainage, and remediation.

The ideal candidate will have already worked in a similar role for a civil engineering contractor and have a strong understanding of estimating software and Microsoft Project.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Reviewing incoming enquiries and assessing all relevant technical issues
  2. Conducting site visits and coordinating tender submissions
  3. Preparing estimates and outlining programmes for the costs of the works
  4. Preparing subcontract enquiries and evaluating quotations
  5. Negotiating terms and conditions with clients prior to contract award

Requirements:

  1. Relevant tender experience and estimating experience working for a main civil engineering contractor
  2. Good IT skills, including the Microsoft Office suite of software
  3. Knowledge of estimating software and Microsoft Project beneficial but not essential
  4. Ability to review construction drawings and perform quantity take-offs
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  6. Good time-management and organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously
