About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Building Careers UK. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in delivering accurate cost estimates and efficient project planning for our clients in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed cost estimates for civil engineering projects, including roadworks, utilities, earthworks, and infrastructure.
  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to prepare accurate bid proposals.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure project requirements are met.
  • Assess project risks, timelines, and budgets to ensure optimal project performance.
  • Stay current with industry standards, materials, and construction methods.

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in civil construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in estimation software, CAD tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
