About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Controls Professional to join our team in London or Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate to develop their skills in project management and controls, working on various projects across the UK.

Job Description
  • Assist in developing scope and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for projects
  • Establish, manage, and report through Costain project controls systems
  • Prepare project reports, including financial, resourcing, and schedule analysis
  • Generate and maintain schedules in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
  • Support the development of project proposal estimates

Our ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in project management, construction management, quantity surveying, or civil engineering. They should be passionate about Costain's Carbon Net Zero targets and demonstrate a keen interest in developing a career in project controls.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (min 2:1 or equivalent) in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Civil Engineering
  • Effective decision-making and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive and driven approach to work and creating success
  • Able to work in a team of diverse individuals to meet common objectives
  • Good organisation skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and willingness to ask for help when needed
  • IT proficient
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our Graduate Development Programme will focus on helping you grow your personal and leadership skills, alongside business and technical skills. You will have the opportunity to work on various projects across the UK, rotate to different sectors, and achieve Chartership.

Location

We have opportunities to work in our London office in St Mary's Axe and our Manchester office, Aviator Way Business Park. As some travelling is required for these roles, we are looking for applicants with a full UK driving licence.
