Job Overview

Johnson Controls has a competitive compensation package for this exciting opportunity. The salary for this role is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.

This position is based in Southeast England, offering a great work-life balance with 25 days of paid holidays plus all bank holidays and comprehensive benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain close working relationships with Installation Management teams to review and improve current aims and objectives.
  • Record, monitor, and advise the Regional Installation Manager of any defects and Specification/Scope deviations.
  • Direct management of designated teams of engineers within the Install Department.
  • Manage and coordination of Engineers and Sub-Contractors' work whilst on site.
  • Implement procedures for the execution of work, briefing instructions to staff in a timely fashion and ensuring best practice is exercised.
  • Plan and schedule manpower and equipment requirements for programmed jobs, guaranteeing they are completed within the specified time frame and budget allocated.
  • Manage and monitor engineers' documentation to ensure both accuracy and expediency, including certifying timesheets for correct hour booking and appropriation.
  • Conduct regular safety and quality audits on Engineers and Sub-Contractors to ensure employees use correct equipment and work safely.
  • Identify development areas through regular performance assessments with engineers to develop training plans for teams/individuals. This includes conducting annual appraisals.
  • Manage work in hand to maximise productivity of the team, accuracy of forecasts, and jobs completed in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and control allocated budgets and prepare reports and programmes as required by the Regional Installation Manager.
  • Liaise directly with Credit Control Department to manage debt and minimise disputes, allowing invoices to be passed for payment.

Requirements

  • Able to deal with client requirements in a fast and speedy manner.
  • Experience working within an installation team and all responsibilities that come with this role.
  • Experience supervising/managing a team of engineers.
  • Ability to build, develop, and manage a team through hard work, professionalism, adherence, and cadence while fulfilling projects.
  • Full UK driver's license.
  • Experience managing and planning Mechanical Fire Suppression systems.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within the Fire/Sprinkler Industry preferred.
  • PC literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Preferred competency of standards, such as LPCB BS12845, plus NFPA.
