Mace is an established construction and consultancy company with a strong presence in the transportation sector. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Controls Manager to support our clients' major rail, road, and bus infrastructure projects and frameworks.

As a key member of our project controls team, you will be responsible for providing support to the Programme Controls Lead in ensuring that information concerning content (e.g., deliverables, risk, issues) is managed effectively within the project team. You will also be engaged in assisting the improvement of predictability and efficiency for the programmes project delivery capability.

We require a professional with good working knowledge of EVM and project controls methodologies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Applying specific Project Controls methods, techniques, and tools
  • Providing advice on complex requirements and communicating analysis and corrective measures effectively
  • Managing project controls delivery of medium/high complexity projects/programmes
  • Playing a key role in multidisciplinary teams and taking a lead role in creating plans or analysing trends using numerical and statistical techniques
  • Leading and managing a team of professionals delivering Projects Controls services and responsible for staff development
  • Staying up-to-date with key industry/professional trends
  • Holding in-depth knowledge of project controls tools & software (e.g., MS Excel, portfolio software, MS Project, PRA, Primavera P6)

In addition, you will provide effective and timely advice to clients through providing basic commentary and analysis, focusing on attention to details and checking project controls inputs, recording, and reports produced.

We estimate the salary range for this position to be approximately £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as pension scheme, life assurance, and flexible working options.
