Clinical Education Lead and Speciality Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Education Lead and Speciality Pharmacist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. This is an exciting opportunity for an advanced practicing pharmacist with leadership experience to shape the delivery of our multi-sector foundation programme and contribute to the transformation of education and training across the health board.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will work collaboratively with Health Board sites and Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) to ensure the successful delivery of the multi-sector foundation programme. They will be a senior education lead and expert at Morriston hospital and will also provide clinical services on site, including dispensary, ward-based clinical care and prescribing services where applicable.
The post holder will work with educators and managers across acute hospital sites and sectors, including primary and community pharmacy, prison pharmacy and NHS 111 to ensure smooth planning, delivery, and support. They will also collaborate with other professional group leads (medical, nursing and allied health professions) in the planning and delivery of multi-professional education.

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will be a GPhC registrant with a PGDip or equivalent. They will have experience as a Clinical Supervisor, Specialist Pharmacist, and QI or Research. They will also have teaching and assessment skills across settings, including HEI. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable, but not essential.
The successful candidate will be appointed to either an Advanced Pharmacist - Band 8a (Permanent) or a Clinical Pharmacist - Band 7 (Secondment 12 months) role, depending on their qualifications and experience.
