Clinical Education Lead and Speciality Pharmacist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Education Lead and Speciality Pharmacist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. This is an exciting opportunity for an advanced practicing pharmacist with leadership experience to shape the delivery of our multi-sector foundation programme and contribute to the transformation of education and training across the health board.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Health Board sites and Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) to ensure the successful delivery of the multi-sector foundation programme. They will also provide clinical services on site, including dispensary, ward-based clinical care and prescribing services where applicable.
The post holder will be a senior education lead and expert at Morriston hospital and will also work with educators and managers across acute hospital sites and sectors to ensure smooth planning, delivery, and support. They will also collaborate with other professional group leads (medical, nursing and allied health professions) in the planning and delivery of multi-professional education.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply. We are able to consider applications for full or part-time commitments and there is also opportunity for some remote working.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with educators and managers across acute hospital sites and sectors to ensure smooth planning, delivery, and support.
- Collaborate with other professional group leads (medical, nursing and allied health professions) in the planning and delivery of multi-professional education.
- Provide clinical services on site, including dispensary, ward-based clinical care and prescribing services where applicable.
- Be a senior education lead and expert at Morriston hospital.
Person Specification
- GPhC registrant.
- PGDip or equivalent.
- Experience as a Clinical Supervisor, Specialist Pharmacist, and QI or Research.
- Ability to challenge trainees.
