Trunk Road Development Liaison Specialist

A key role has become available within BEAR Scotland\'s Asset Management Team, focusing on the coordination of third-party developments impacting the Scottish Trunk Roads Network.
The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with developers and Transport Scotland on planning applications, providing advice on suitability and assisting with transport appraisal and assessment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Liaising with developers and Transport Scotland on planning applications and providing advice on suitability.
- Assisting with applications requiring transport appraisal/assessment and local development plans.
- Providing a coordinated response from BEAR Scotland design teams for developments requiring checks under the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges.
- Assisting Transport Scotland with preparation and administration of minutes or letters of agreement.
- Ensuring monitoring and road safety audits of third-party developments are performed and reported in accordance with Transport Scotland requirements.
