As a key member of the Planning and Development Control Team at BEAR Scotland, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient management of Scotland's trunk road network. Your expertise in road infrastructure design and development will be instrumental in delivering high-quality projects that meet the needs of Transport Scotland and the wider community.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with developers and Transport Scotland to ensure compliance with planning regulations and road safety standards.
  • Conduct thorough design checks on third-party works to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Assist in the preparation and administration of Minutes or Letters of Agreement and Road Bonds.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of current design standards and best practices in road infrastructure development.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on road infrastructure design and development.


Requirements:


  • Relevant qualifications and experience in road infrastructure design and development.
  • Strong understanding of road safety standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
