Quality Control Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Control Manager to lead our Microbiology Laboratory team. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance in our laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop a high-performing team of scientists to achieve exceptional quality and compliance results.
- Develop and implement laboratory procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Coordinate laboratory operations, including scheduling, planning, and administration, to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure testing is carried out in accordance with product specifications and external quality control requirements.
- Monitor, record, analyze, and report on laboratory activities, trends, results, and recommendations.
- Be responsible for the review and approval of all testing, reports, deviations, and department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ISO, BS, and other relevant standards and ensure their application in laboratory procedures.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the laboratory by identifying and implementing process performance and compliance improvement programs.
- Provide microbiological technical expertise, trouble-shooting, training, and support to the laboratory team.
- Ensure a safe laboratory work environment and follow all laboratory safety requirements.
- Manage personnel and fiscal budgets.
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related field.
- Experience leading a team of scientists in a laboratory setting.
- Experience running a BSL2 laboratory, with BSL3 experience preferred.
- Experience with medical device, GMP, EU Regulation, or ISO 13485, 11133, and Guide 34.
- Proven understanding of quality and scientific principles.
- Laboratory safety experience.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks/functions optimally in a global organization.
- Proven track record of working effectively as a member of a cross-functional team.
- SAP Quality Module experience.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to challenge, influence, and build consensus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
