About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Conference and Events Duty Manager to join our team at The Oval in London. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all events, conferences, and match day hospitality at an operational level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strong leadership and ensure the smooth running and execution of all events, conferences, and match day hospitality
  • Work closely with the C/E sales team to ensure all operational details are discussed and agreed with event organizers and attend site visits
  • Drive and facilitate activities that improve communication and coordination within the C/E team and other departments
  • Ensure all event organizers and clients receive a warm welcome and excellent customer service throughout the event
  • Work closely with the clients to ensure that all expectations are met from conception to the delivery of the event
  • Attend weekly function sheet meetings with other internal teams to aid the planning and delivery of daily conferences and events
  • Manage a team of managers and supervisors to ensure the highest level of service at all times
  • Prepare and conduct briefings with managers and staff and manage training and development programs of the C/E team in line with venue and company policy
  • Have a good working knowledge of in-built AV systems and provide training to event managers and supervisors
  • Work closely with the AV suppliers to order AV equipment as per requirements and manage costs
  • Work closely with the reception team to ensure all admin/paperwork and signage for events are produced and distributed before events
  • Maintain and keep all storage locations to par levels and ensure the maintenance of all catering equipment working closely with the Logistics team
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and has a strong background in conference and events management. You will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

You will be a team player who is able to work collaboratively with colleagues across different departments to deliver high-quality events and conferences. You will also have a good understanding of AV systems and be able to provide training to event managers and supervisors.
