Event and Conference Technician Role

proAV Limited is seeking an experienced Event and Conference Technician to join our London team. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical onsite support in event spaces, conference rooms, and meeting rooms, while representing proAV and taking full responsibility for the provision of technical services.

The ideal candidate will have exposure to a variety of technologies in the audio visual and video conference arena, including meeting room, events, video conference scheduling, and live streaming services. You will work closely with our Breakfix team to locate faults and provide resolutions, as well as perform daily checks on all equipment in the building.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup and operation of integrated events spaces, including high-profile auditorium-based results presentations and town halls
  • Proficient in audio, video, and lighting equipment, both digital and analogue
  • Video conference and audio conference setup and support with software and hardware platforms, including Zoom, Cisco, and Polycom systems
  • Manage all aspects of video calls, from initial booking to monitoring and completion, including scheduling and full systems operational testing
  • Prepare equipment for future events and meetings as required
  • Work alongside the Breakfix team to locate faults and provide resolutions, including fixing, replacing, or upgrading hardware
  • Perform daily checks on all equipment in the building
  • Audio visual support to other areas of the business, including setting up PA systems and assisting with presentations in meeting rooms
  • Work in a team and be a sole technician responsible for a client site, as well as the main client interface
  • Be an ambassador for proAV, with excellent approach and professionalism
  • Provide excellent customer service, working calmly under pressure and resolving issues quickly and professionally
  • Be presentable and able to liaise with senior executives in a calm and professional manner
  • Work onsite shifts, with a flexible approach to ensure out-of-hours events are covered
  • Liaise with the help desk and operations team to arrange backup support when required
  • Administer the role, utilizing Microsoft Office applications, Zoom back-end bespoke ticketing systems, and room booking software
  • Attend other sites as required, including outside of London
  • Support the Livestreaming team as required
  • Proactively train and support end users as required
