Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our team at Luton Hospital. As a Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our OMFS service.

Main Duties
  • Assess and carry out the full range of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery procedures
  • Participate in on-call duties and provide emergency care as required
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex OMFS conditions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Contribute to the development of our OMFS service and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Full and Specialist GMC Registration with a licence to practice
  • Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register: CCT (or within 6 months of receipt of CCT at time of interview)
  • Experience in OMFS Head & Neck Surgery with micro-vascular reconstruction
  • Experience in Surgical Dermatology
  • Ability to demonstrate a broad understanding of the principles and elements of clinical governance
  • Knowledge of the principles of evidence-based practice
  • Knowledge of the principles of clinical audit and direct experience of audit
