Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of healthcare professionals.

Main Duties
  • Assess and carry out the full range of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery procedures
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement clinical governance policies and procedures
  • Participate in teaching and training of junior staff
  • Contribute to the development of the department's strategic plan
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Full and Specialist GMC Registration with a licence to practice
  • Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register: CCT (or within 6 months of receipt of CCT at time of interview)
  • A registable qualification with the UK GDC or eligibility to enter it within 6 months at the time of interview
  • Holder of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or within six months of award of CCT or equivalent (CESR) by date of interview
Desirable Criteria

We would also like to consider candidates with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Completion of a Head and Neck Cancer Fellowship or equivalent
  • A post graduate qualification MSc, MD, PhD, MA, Masters in Education
  • Recent published clinical research in peer reviewed journal
