Job Overview

Austin Fraser is seeking an exceptional Advanced Practitioner to join our Children and Young People's Team. This role offers a challenging opportunity to exercise autonomy while receiving regular supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with children, families, and colleagues to promote effective decision-making and communication in complex situations.
  • Maintain high-quality practice standards by ensuring statutory responsibilities are fulfilled.
  • Manage a complex workload independently, developing professional networks for advice and development.
  • Utilize supervision for practice reflection and career advancement.
  • Provide expert supervision and support to staff, including induction, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Lead innovative projects and development work to enhance excellence in child welfare.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the analysis of information systems.
  • Model advanced assessment and risk management skills in complex scenarios.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of legal and policy frameworks in Children's Social Care.
  • Communicate effectively at an advanced level and establish strong professional networks.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience in social care, preferably with expertise in child welfare.
  • Ability to manage a hybrid workload with flexibility.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of legal and policy frameworks in Children's Social Care.
