Pensions Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Pension Administrator to join our team at Lane Clark & Peacock. As a Pension Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Defined Benefit clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Continuously broaden your technical knowledge and expertise in pension administration.
- Understand and implement complex processes for cases such as divorce, members with large benefits, and tax issues.
- Carry out complex calculations and check those performed by junior colleagues.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and highlight necessary changes for client communications, calculations, or practices.
- Be aware of special conditions for certain clients and scheme-specific requirements.
- Contribute to efficiency drives for clients, seeking improvements and best practices.
- Participate in departmental initiatives and projects that benefit the department.
- Draft complex non-standard letters and check those drafted by others.
- Mentor and train junior colleagues.
- A minimum of 3 years UK DB pensions administration experience.
- Educated to 'A' level, degree level, or equivalent.
- Progressing towards relevant training courses and exams for the Award in Pensions Essentials (APE) and the Certificate in Pensions Calculations (CPC).
- Awareness and understanding of external bodies, such as the PPF and tPR.
- Well-organized, thorough, and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with fluctuating workloads and the ability to use initiative.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and demonstrate good organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Flexibility in working hours and duties, with a willingness to learn.
