Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Asset Finance Credit Underwriter to join our team at PB Recruitment Consultants Limited. As a key member of our credit management function, you will be responsible for analysing and assessing loan applications, providing oversight of credit workflow, and monitoring credit KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loan Application Analysis: Analyse and assess loan applications to ensure compliance with our robust mandate structure and senior credit manager mandate level.
- Credit Workflow Oversight: Provide oversight of credit workflow to deliver excellent services within Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and escalate any capacity requirements.
- Credit KPI Monitoring: Monitor credit KPIs across the portfolio and balance returns and risk exposure.
- Credit Report Preparation: Assist with the preparation and review of credit reports for management, committees, and nominated third parties.
- Communication and Liaison: Improve liaison and communication within the wider credit management function.
- Project Delivery: Contribute and deliver solutions for projects assigned by the Head of Underwriting.
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all training requirements.
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 3-5 years of credit and underwriting experience within asset finance.
- Financial Analysis: Ability to interpret financial statements, management accounts, and individual financials to demonstrate affordability.
- Technical Skills: Strong numeracy, data-driven, reporting, and Excel skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to customers, the credit team, and line management.
- Organisation and Attention to Detail: Highly organised and attention to detail.
- Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure, on multiple tasks, and to tight deadlines.
- Industry Knowledge: Diligent credit underwriting in the asset finance industry.
- Regulated and Unregulated Requests: Ability to underwrite asset finance supercar applications for both regulated and unregulated requests.
- Communication: Ability to communicate at all levels with attention to detail.
- Self-Starter: Self-starter, capable of learning quickly.
- Risk Appetite: Excel in delivering a customer-focused solution within risk appetite.
