About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Paediatrics to join our team at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with expertise in paediatric endocrinology and diabetes mellitus, as well as general paediatrics.


Key Responsibilities



  • To provide high-quality clinical care to patients, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • To take an active role in the leadership of the department, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • To maintain and develop teaching and research initiatives, collaborating with King's College London and the Trust's medical community.
  • To conduct audits and quality improvement activities, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing evidence-based changes.
  • To contribute to the development of business plans, aligning with the Trust's goals and objectives.

Requirements



  • Mandatory qualifications: MBBS or equivalent, MRCPCH, GMC registration, and Specialist Register status.
  • Substantial experience in paediatric endocrinology, diabetes mellitus, and general paediatrics, including safeguarding practices.
  • Effective leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Familiarity with IT systems and excellent computer skills.
