Job Summary

Job Title: Pilot Plant Technician

Location: St Austell - Cornwall (IBL Pilot Plant)

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm

Salary: Competitive

We are seeking a skilled Pilot Plant Technician to join our team at Imerys British Lithium. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development and improvement of novel process technologies for extracting, refining, and purifying lithium from micaceous granites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor fixed and mobile plant equipment, including pumps, agitated tanks, wet magnets, hydro cyclones, screens, and conveyors.
  • Ensure the safe operation of start-up and shut-down procedures, as well as fault finding and data logging.
  • Control operational parameters to maintain product within specified limits.
  • Log and record trial and analytical data.
  • Carry out troubleshooting and basic modifications to fixed plant and process flow.
  • Sample collection and preparation, filtration, and pXRF testing as required.
