Role Profile


This is an exciting opportunity to join our Enablement Team at Kent County Council. As an Enablement Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to maintain their independence and reduce their long-term care needs.


Key Responsibilities



  • Manage a caseload of individuals using our enablement/assessment provision
  • Support individuals in establishing SMART enablement goals and identifying the correct level of need
  • Work closely with Occupational Therapy and Case Management colleagues to ensure holistic assessments and maximized opportunities
  • Provide practice monitoring, supervision, and training to a team of Enablement Support Workers
  • Monitor the quality of service provided and ensure staff work in a healthy and safe environment

  • An empathetic and caring approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working with diverse people and challenging situations
  • Skills to empower individuals to support them in reaching their personal goals and maximizing their independence
  • Ability to travel across the required geographical area
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to fast-changing business needs
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of computer-based systems
  • Willingness to learn and a proactive approach to their own development
