About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Housing Support Specialist to join our team in Greater Manchester. This role offers a challenging and rewarding experience working with a charity providing accommodation and support for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Job Summary

  • Encourage and assist service users to develop their skills and independence within the service.
  • Ensure the upkeep and security of the building, including cash and equipment management.
  • Be involved in admission and selection of service users, working closely with the Project Leader.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out regular key-working sessions with service users, maintaining comprehensive records of contacts.
  • Support individuals in a trauma-informed and solution-focused manner, promoting resilience.
  • Be responsible for efficient record-keeping, including case notes, support plans, financial, and administrative records.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, including building checks and reporting repairs.

Requirements

  • 37 hours per week, predominantly Monday to Friday, with some weekends.
  • Flexible working hours, covering 8am to 8pm services.

Salary and Benefits

  • A competitive salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
