About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineering Applications Specialist to join our team at MBDA. As a key member of our Systems Engineering and Design Capability (SE&DC) department, you will play a critical role in supporting projects through established model-based systems engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with multiple partners, including software application suppliers, MBDA's IM organisation, MBDA security, and the wider SE&DC team, to provide continuity of service across the systems engineering applications.
  • Manage the software applications that fall within SE&DC's remit to manage, including thick client software application management, maintenance, testing, security vulnerabilities, and OS updates.
  • Provide liaison between the user community and technical support (IM) to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with the IM organisation to manage software applications, including thick client version management, managing upgrade programmes, packaging new software, security vulnerability management, bug assessment, and patching.
  • Work closely with the user community to understand their needs and provide effective support and training.
Requirements
  • Background in IT on thick client software application management, maintenance, testing, security vulnerabilities, and OS updates.
  • Experience in managing software applications, including thick client version management, managing upgrade programmes, packaging new software, security vulnerability management, bug assessment, and patching.
  • Knowledge of IBM engineering toolset (Rhapsody, DOORS Classic, IBM ELM) is desirable, but on-the-job training will be provided to the successful candidate.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, including software application suppliers, MBDA's IM organisation, MBDA security, and the wider SE&DC team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide effective support and training to the user community.
